சென்னை மாநகரில் நந்தனம், அசோக் நகர் மற்றும் மயிலாப்பூர் ஆகிய இடங்களில் ஏ ஆர் எஸ் டான்ஸ் ஸ்கூல் எனும் நடனப் பள்ளியை மிகவும் சிறப்பாக நடத்தி வரும் பிரபல திரைப்பட நடன இயக்குநர் கலைமாமணி ஸ்ரீதர் மாஸ்டர், நான்காவது கிளையை பெரம்பூர் ஓட்டேரியில் திங்கட்கிழமை (பிப்ரவரி 17) தொடங்கினார்.
இயக்குநர் வெற்றிமாறன் ஏ ஆர் எஸ் டான்ஸ் ஸ்கூலை திறந்து வைக்க அமரன் புகழ் இயக்குநர் ராஜ்குமார் பெரியசாமி வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். சென்னை மேயர் பிரியா ராஜன், சென் ஹாஸ்பிடல் தலைவர் டாக்டர் எம் வெங்கடேஷ், ஐபிஎஸ் அதிகாரி ராஜேஸ்வரி, நடிகர்கள் ஜீவா, ஷாம், நகுல், இசையமைப்பாளர் அமரேஷ் கணேஷ், நடன இயக்குநர் அசோக், சுஜா, சிவா, தொலைக்காட்சி பிரபலங்கள் தங்கதுரை மற்றும் ‘பிக் பாஸ்’ வெற்றியாளர் முத்துக்குமரன் உள்ளிட்ட பல்துறை முக்கிய பிரமுகர்கள் ஏ ஆர் எஸ் டான்ஸ் ஸ்கூல் ஓட்டேரி கிளை தொடக்க விழாவில் பங்கேற்று ஶ்ரீதர் மாஸ்டர் மற்றும் குழுவினருக்கு மனமார்ந்த வாழ்த்துகளை தெரிவித்தனர்.
ஏ ஆர் எஸ் டான்ஸ் ஸ்கூல் பற்றி பேசிய ஶ்ரீதர் மாஸ்டர், “சிவம் குரூப்ஸ் முகிலன் மற்றும் அவரது மனைவி சௌந்தர்யா ஆகியோருடன் இணைந்து இந்த நடனப் பள்ளியை தொடங்கி இருக்கிறோம். ஏ ஆர் எஸ் என்பதன் பொருள் எனது மகள் அக்ஷதா, மனைவி ராஜலட்சுமி மற்றும் எனது பெயர்களின் முதல் எழுத்துகள் ஆகும். மருத்துவம் மூன்றாம் ஆண்டு பயிலும் எனது மகள் அக்ஷதா தனது படிப்புக்கு எந்த வித பாதிப்பும் ஏற்படா வண்ணம் எனக்கு இந்த முன்னெடுப்பில் உதவியாக உள்ளார்.
நடனம் கற்றுக் கொண்டால் என்ன லாபம் என்று சிலர் கேட்கிறார்கள். நடனத்தின் முதல் பலன் உடல் ஆரோக்கியம். நடனக் கலைஞர்கள் பலரும் வயதான பின்பும் நல்ல உடல் நலத்துடன் இருப்பதை நாம் காணலாம். அடுத்ததாக தங்கள் கல்வி மற்றும் தொழிலுக்கு எந்த இடையூறும் இன்றி நடனத்தை கற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம், கற்பிக்கலாம். இதற்கு எனது மகளே சிறந்த உதாரணம்,” என்றார்.
ஏ ஆர் எஸ் டான்ஸ் ஸ்கூலில் அனைத்து வகை சர்வதேச நடனங்களில் இருந்து உள்ளூர் நடனங்கள் வரை சிறப்பான பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்படும் என்று தெரிவித்த ஶ்ரீதர் மாஸ்டர், நமது திரையுலகின் முக்கிய நடனமான குத்து எனப்படும் ஃபோக் (folk) வகை நடனத்திற்கு உலகளாவிய அங்கீகாரம் பெறும் முயற்சியிலும் தான் ஈடுபட்டு இருப்பதாக கூறினார்.
“தமிழ்நாட்டிலேயே முதல் முறையாக மூன்று தளங்கள் கொண்ட மொத்த கட்டிடமும் நடனப் பள்ளிக்காக அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதில் ஒரு தளம் முழுவதும் திரைப்பட ப்ரோமோ பாடல்களை உருவாக்குவதற்கு தேவையான அனைத்து வசதிகளையும் கொண்டு வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. திரைப்பட தயாரிப்பாளர்கள், இயக்குநர்கள் அவர்கள் எதிர்பார்க்காத மிகக் குறித்த செலவில் முழு ப்ரோமோ பாடலையும் இங்கு உருவாக்கலாம்,” என்று ஶ்ரீதர் மாஸ்டர் கூறினார்.
திரைப்பட நடனப் பணியும் இடையூறு இன்றி தொடர்ந்து நடைபெறும் என்றும் இதுவரையிலான தனது முயற்சிகளுக்கு ஆதரவளித்த திரையுலகினரும் ரசிகர்களும் ஏ ஆர் எஸ் டான்ஸ் ஸ்கூலுக்கும் பேராதரவை வழங்குவார்கள் என்றும் ஶ்ரீதர் மாஸ்டர் நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்தார்.

Celebrated film choreographer and Kalaimamani awardee Sridhar Master has successfully been running ARS Dance School across three locations in Chennai—Nandanam, Ashok Nagar, and Mylapore. Adding to its growing presence, he inaugurated the fourth branch of ARS Dance School in Otteri, Perambur, on Monday (February 17).
The dance school was inaugurated by director Vetrimaaran, while ‘Amaran’ fame director Rajkumar Periyasamy delivered keynote address. The grand opening ceremony saw the presence of several esteemed guests, including Chennai Mayor Priya Rajan, Sen Hospital Chairman Dr. M. Venkatesh, IPS Officer Rajeswari, directors Vetrimaaran and Rajkumar Periyasamy, and actors Jiiva, Shaam, Nakul, music composer Amaresh Ganesh, choreographer Ashok, Suja, Siva, and TV personalities Thangadurai and ‘Bigg Boss’ winner Muthukumaran. All the distinguished guests extended their heartfelt congratulations to Sridhar Master and his team on this new milestone.
Speaking about ARS Dance School, Sridhar Master shared, “I have partnered with Sivam Groups’ Mukilan and his wife Soundarya to establish this dance academy. The name ARS is derived from the first letters of the names of my daughter Akshadha, my wife Rajalakshmi, and myself. My daughter Akshadha, who is currently in her third year of medical studies, has been a great support in this endeavour, ensuring that her academics remain unaffected while contributing to this initiative.”
Highlighting the importance of dance, Sridhar Master stated, “Some people ask what benefits dance offers. The primary advantage is physical fitness. Many dancers remain in good health even in their later years. Furthermore, one can learn and teach dance alongside academics or a professional career, as my daughter exemplifies.”
ARS Dance School offers comprehensive training in various dance forms, from international styles to traditional folk dances. Sridhar Master also revealed his ambition to gain global recognition for ‘Kuthu’ dance, an integral part of Tamil cinema’s choreography, by promoting it on an international platform.
“For the first time in Tamil Nadu, an entire three-storey building has been dedicated to the dance school. One entire floor has been designed with all the necessary facilities for creating film promo songs. Producers and directors can create an entire promo song here at a very reasonable cost that they would not expect,” said Sridhar Master.
He assured that his film choreography work would continue without disruption and expressed confidence that the film industry and fans would extend their unwavering support to ARS Dance School as they always have.
