இந்தியாவின் முதல் விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீராங்கனையான வேலு நாச்சியாரின் வீர வரலாற்றை மக்களுக்கு எடுத்துச் சொல்லும் விதமாக ‘வீரமங்கை வேலுநாச்சியார்’ எனும் தலைப்பில் திரைப்படம் ஒன்று உருவாகிறது.

டிரண்ட்ஸ் சினிமாஸ் பேனரில் ஜெ எம் பஷீர் தயாரிக்கும் இத்திரைப்படத்தை ஆர் அரவிந்தராஜ் இயக்க, வேலுநாச்சியாராக முதன்மை வேடத்தில் நடித்து திரையுலகில் அறிமுகம் ஆகிறார் ஆயிஷா.

‘வீரமங்கை வேலுநாச்சியார்’ திரைப்படத்திற்கு ஆஸ்கர் நாயகன் ஏ ஆர் ரஹ்மான் இசையமைக்கிறார். முக்கிய பாத்திரமான பெரிய மருதாக இப்படத்தின் தயாரிப்பாளரும், ‘தேசிய தலைவர்’ திரைப்படத்தில் பகம்பொன் முத்துராமலிங்க தேவராக நடித்திருப்பவருமான ஜெ எம் பஷீர் நடிக்கிறார். இவரது மகள் தான் ஆயிஷா என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

‘வீரமங்கை வேலுநாச்சியார்’ திரைப்படத்தின் அறிமுக நிகழ்ச்சி சென்னை தியாகராய நகரில் உள்ள தேவர் மஹாலில் ஜனவரி 3 புதன்கிழமை அன்று நடைபெற்றது. திரைப்படம் குறித்து பேசிய தயாரிப்பாளரும் நடிகருமான ஜெ எம் பஷீர், “வேலு நாச்சியார் அவர்களின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாற்றை திரையில் கொண்டு வருவதில் மிகவும் பெருமை அடைகிறோம். இதில் முதன்மை வேடத்தில் எனது மகள் ஆயிஷா நடிப்பது பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சி,” என்றார்.

நமது நாட்டுக்காகவும், தேச விடுதலைக்காகவும் தன்னலம் இன்றி போராடிய மாபெரும் ஆளுமைகள் குறித்து இன்றைய இளைய சமுதாயம் அறிவது அவசியம் என்றும் இதன் காரணமாகவே ‘தேசிய தலைவர்’ மற்றும் ‘வீரமங்கை வேலுநாச்சியார்’ உள்ளிட்ட திரைப்படங்களை தான் தயாரித்து வருவதாகவும் பஷீர் மேலும் தெரிவித்தார்.

‘தேசிய தலைவர்’ திரைப்படம் அடுத்த மாதம் திரைக்கு வர உள்ள நிலையில் அதை தொடர்ந்து ‘வீர மங்கை வேலு நாச்சியார்’ படப்பிடிப்பு தொடங்கும் என்று பஷீர் கூறினார். வரலாற்று ஆவணங்களை ஆய்வு செய்து இப்படத்தின் ஸ்கிரிப்ட் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

‘வீர மங்கை வேலு நாச்சியார்’ திரைப்படத்திற்கு ஜெ ஸ்ரீதர் ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்ய, சண்டைக் காட்சிகளை மிராக்கிள் மைக்கேல் வடிவமைக்கிறார். பிரபல நடிகர்கள் மற்றும் முன்னணி தொழில்நுட்ப கலைஞர்கள் இப்படத்திற்காக இணைய உள்ளனர். இது குறித்த அறிவிப்பு விரைவில் வெளியாகும் என்று தயாரிப்பாளர் ஜெ எம் பஷீர் கூறினார்.

*A R Rahman to score music for ‘Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar’ produced by Trends Cinemas’ J M Bashir and directed by R Aravintha Raj with Ayisha in title role*

A film titled ‘Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar’ is being made to narrate the valiant history of India’s first woman freedom fighter Velu Nachiyar.

Produced by J M Bashir under Trends Cinemas banner and directed by R Aravintha Raj, the movie will mark the acting debut of Ayisha, who will play the lead role as Velu Nachiyar.

‘Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar’ will have musical score by Oscar-winner A R Rahman. J M Bashir, who is the producer of this film and has played Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar in the movie ‘Desiya Thalaivar’, plays an important character Periya Maruthu. It is noteworthy that Ayisha is his daughter.

The launch of ‘Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar’ was held on Wednesday (3 January) at Thevar Mahal in T Nagar, Chennai. Speaking about the film, producer and actor J M Bashir said, “We are very proud to bring Velu Nachiyar’s biography to the screen. It is a great pleasure to have my daughter Ayisha in the lead role.”

Bashir further said that it is necessary for today’s younger generation to know about the great personalities who fought selflessly for our country and freedom, and because of this, he is bankrolling films including ‘Desiya Thalaivar’ and ‘Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar’.

Bashir said ‘Desiya Thalaivar’ is going to hit the screens next month and the shooting of ‘Veera Mangai Velu Nachiyar’ will start soon after that. He informed that the script of the film has been developed after studying historical documents.

For ‘Veera Mangai Velu Nachiyar’, J Sridhar will take care of cinematography and stunts will be choreographed by Miracle Michael. Famous actors and leading technicians will be roped in for the film. Producer J M Bashir said more details about the project will be revealed soon.
