VELS Women Achiever Award at the VELS Campus today!

Honouring the women achievers is an important part of recognizing and celebrating their contributions to society and encouraging future generations of women to follow in their footsteps. By honouring these women, we, not only celebrate and recognize their accomplishments, but also learn from their successes and struggles.

It was my pleasure today, along with Dr Arthi Ganesh, Pro Chancellor – Vels University and Dr Preethaa Ganesh, Vice President – Vels Group of Institution, to meet some of such incredible women at the VELS University International Women’s day celebrations. Below women were conferred with this year’s “VELS Women Achiever Award” at the VELS Campus today.

Ms Priya Rajan- Mayor, Greater Chennai corporation, Tamilnadu

Ms Ramya Bharathi- IPS officer, Joint Commissioner, Chennai North Zone

Dr Saveetha rajesh- Director, Saveetha medical College and Pupil Saveetha Eco School

Ms Sudha kongara Prasad- Indian Film director and screen writer

Dr. Arathi Arun- Commonwealth powerlifting champion

It was even more merrier to support and recognise few new generation women entrepreneurs, the winners of the VELS’ VFund 3.0 startup pitch 2023 and award Rs 2Lakhs each of seed money for their innovative business ideas.
